What is neuropsychology?

Neuropsychology is a specialised branch of psychology that identifies how differences or changes in thinking skills may be due to developmental, medical, genetic, neurological, or psychological causes. Neuropsychologists study how the brain works and how it affects the way we think, learn, remember, behave, and manage everyday activities.

The MindKey approach

Diagnosis is only part of what we do.

At MindKey, we take a neuro-affirming and whole-person approach to neuropsychological assessment. We consider the cognitive, family, emotional, medical, social, educational, lifestyle, and other factors unique to each person to develop a complete understanding of their strengths and areas of difficulty.

Our comprehensive assessment process helps determine whether someone meets the criteria for a formal diagnosis. We use the information we gather throughout the assessment process to identify practical strategies and supports that help individuals succeed in everyday life — whether at home, at school, at work, or in the community.
